On October 19, Kazakhstan and the United States took significant steps to reinforce their strategic partnership, focusing on expanding economic ties and cooperation in critical sectors. This development was highlighted during discussions between Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Samarkand, coinciding with the C5+1 Ministerial Meeting.

The talks emphasized enhancing bilateral relations through increased trade, investment, and collaboration in areas such as energy, critical minerals, digitalization, and transport. Both nations reiterated their commitment to implementing agreements from the November 2025 meeting between Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and US President Donald Trump, which aimed at bolstering joint projects and attracting American investment, particularly in energy and transport infrastructure.

The C5+1 Ministerial Meeting, which brought together the United States and five Central Asian countries, served as a platform to discuss regional economic development and connectivity. Participants underscored the importance of strengthening transport and logistics networks, diversifying supply chains, and advancing joint initiatives in energy, critical minerals, and digital innovation.

The meeting concluded with a joint statement from the involved parties, reaffirming their dedication to long-term cooperation and the implementation of agreed initiatives. This alignment reflects a shared vision of fostering mutual growth and stability in the region, as well as enhancing the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the United States.
